Concert Band and Orchestra
Apart from the instrument lessons, we offer several groups as well. There are no additional fees for these. We strongly recommend the students to take part in these groups, they get to be part of a group of students who are all learning how to play an instrument. Every member of the group is important and the group does not function without every member there. Students will learn about important values such as teamwork, dedication, responsibility and discipline. But most of all, it is fun making music together! |
OrchestraThis group is free for and available to any students that have been learning their main instrument for 2 years or more.
Playing in the orchestra gives students a wonderful opportunity to use what they have learned during their lessons and enjoy their instrument as an important part of a group. Our orchestra is a good basis for joining a bigger orchestra at college. Ex Music Centre students who have graduated from our program are also welcome to join the orchestra. Orchestra instruments: Cello Violin Flute Clarinet Trumpet Trombone Theory ATheory classes are in the Library and are mixed-level theory classes which means recorder level 1 students or other instrument students are welcome to attend to do theory homework there.
The theory classes will be only self-study format, and the teacher will assist students who need help with theory questions. Please bring your theory book, a pencil, and an eraser. |
