- How old do you have to be to take lessons?
From school year 2 to school year 8. ( Age from 6 to 12 year old). Students must be a minimum of age 6 years old at the start of Term 1 in February. - How much does it cost?
Please refer to the Fees and Payments pages. - How big are the classes?
Depending on enrolment numbers, we usually have around 4 to 10 children. - Does the child have to do two basic years?
Most students the age of 6 plus need to take recorder for one year and then they can choose Recorder Level 2, Nuvo Toot Mini-Flute, Keyboard, Ukulele or Violin lessons for the second year. However special exemptions can be made for students who demonstrate that they can read music and who have had previous music lessons or are 9+ years old.Tthe final decision will be at the teacher's discretion.
- Can home schooled children come?
Yes! - How long are the classes?
40 minutes long.
- Do we have to buy an instrument?
We have most full size instruments for hire at $130 per year for the students, (guitars are $100).
Recorders, ukuleles and Nuvo Toots have to be bought. - Where do we get recorders from?
From your local music store.
Eg: KBB, ABI Music, Music Planet, RockShop, Piano Trader, Farrell's Music House, MusicWorks. - Do we need to buy music books?
Yes. Music books are available for purchase at your local music store.

- Are there lessons during the week?
No, only on Saturday mornings between 8.40 am and 12.20 pm.
- Do you teach piano?
We don't have piano lessons, but we do offer keyboard. - Do you teach individually?
No, we only teach in groups.
- How many drum kits do you have in the drum class?
We only have enough space for one drum kit in class. There are practice pads available for the students to use during the class and they take turns on the kit as well.
