Students are taught drum notation and should have basic music reading ability. A drum kit is available in the classroom for the students to share.​ Rhythms are learned on practice pads. 

We recommend students purchase a practice pad to allow them to practice at home. These are available from your local music store. 

​​Students must have completed 2 years of basic instrument or be 9 years old before enrolling in drum lessons.
