The Nuvo Toot Mini flute course is designed for our younger students as an alternative to recorder year 2, and is also a pre-requisite for students wanting to take flute lessons in year 3 (on the full-size, silver C flute). *Note: when you have enrolled for this course, please purchase a Nuvo Toot from the stores listed on this page immediately. These flutes can take a while to order in if they are out of stock and we do not have spares. |
Course Book
Progressive Recorder for Young Beginners Book 2 (Separate Toot fingering will be provided by teacher). This book can be purchased from your local music store or here. Students must have completed a minimum of recorder level 1 or be 9 yrs old before enrolling in this course.
Students need to provide their own Nuvo Toot to bring to lessons. The Nuvo Toot is a small, recorder size flute designed as an introduction to the full size flute. For a child ready to progress from the recorder, this is the perfect next step to ultimately playing the flute. The small size is easy to manage and the recorder style Firstnote Lip Plate helps students direct the air effortlessly before progressing to learning the real flute embouchure later. Benefits:
